If How I Met Your Mother married Dead Ringers you'd get Phil, The Killer.

The protagonist is so desperate to meet “the one” and has many misguided attempts at human connection. Sadly, he can't find true love since he just keeps killing them. He finally meets a person who could turn him from a killer to a homemaker, but an unexpected twist derails his plans. The story is full of dark comedic moments mixed with commentary on the reality of “you can’t always get what you want.”
