About My Library
Most of my print books (those under the "Your Library" collection) were found at resale shops, library sales, and used bookstores. I preorder the new releases of a handful of authors, though. I've also started acquiring or borrowing significantly more e-books and audiobooks, but those are added only as I read them and are placed in separate collections, along with borrowed print books.

As far as physical storage, my books are finally all unboxed after a move in summer 2022. Some tags are used for tagging purposes and will be rearranged as time and interest permit. Prior to the move, I carried out a large-scale weeding/deaccession project, and books that I had read but did not keep or have replaced with eBooks are in the "Withdrawn" collection.

As for the favorite authors, I initially added just about everyone who had written several books I enjoyed. The list has been edited and expanded somewhat over the past 10+ years and remains reasonably representative.
About Me

I'm an academic librarian in northern Illinois, currently in an electronic resources role. Thus far, I've worked in a variety of public and academic libraries, as well as teaching part-time for several years. Reading in all forms is my favorite hobby, though I also enjoy cooking/baking and, more actively, hiking and nature walks (often while listening to audiobooks or podcasts).

I share my home with three cats--Tara, Ralph, and Zuki--accentuating the stereotype of the bespectacled, cat-loving, spinster-librarian. My profile pictures also feature Tim and Sylvester (Bester), two other feline companions who passed in 2016 and are much missed. In the summer of 2022, we adopted Sam, a very mixed breed dog, despite the cats' misgivings.
