There is a series of short horror stories that I can't remember the name of, each book had 3 short stories in it and one of the short stories was called "Timber Wolf Jerky" or something like that. I'm pretty sure each story was written by a different person as well. I'd say that the books are about 15-20ish years old and aimed at a teen to young adult audience.

Wait, the more I think about it, the less I think it's Twisted Tales. I was terrified of the Twisted Tales books because of how gruesome they were, but these ones I wasn't

A few more I remember are a kid finds a swimming medal in a pond, brings it home and it possesses his little brother, then tries to kill his little brother because a swimming champ died in that pond and that was the champs medal/a kid has to help a ghost catch a homerun from the baseball star that killed him years prior/a kid takes on his brothers paper route, everyones a monster because of a magic marker ritual thing, turns out his brother is the one putting the rituals in place.
