Just discovered a very interesting book. The Genesis of Ethics by Rabbi Burton L. Visotzky examines some of the stories in the Book of Genesis in the Bible.
The author is earthy, wise, insightful, and often irreverent. I loved how Rabbi Visotzky imagined the thoughts, emotions, and actions of the bibical characters. He considers those people to be just that - people. Being people, the author assumes they act and feel the way people do. Recommended.
