Waterstones also have this one, as well as another exclusive edition.

Blackwells have an advantage for EU customers, though, since they include shipping and VAT.

Thank you for the enablement.
Amazingly postage to Australia was only €9!
Very good value for a FS style book.

Does anyone know if the binding is sewn? Didn’t see this stated on the product page.

>6 RRCBS: I was about to make the same question. After paying 30 pounds for the 'collectors' edition of Good Omens I'm wary of purchasing any special edition that does not explicitly state the binding.

That's a really good question - it never crossed my mind, so I asked Blackwell's

"...I am afraid that this item is not sewn binding it is a regular Hardback..."

>8 bookfair_e: thanks for that! Happy for those excited about this! It’s a pass for me…I go sewn hardback or ebook. The only exceptions I have made are for my Your Face Tomorrow set (because I really love those books and bought them before making my sewn books resolution) and the Brandon Sanderson surprise books (didn’t have the heart to cancel after getting the first and finding out they’re not sewn, at least they seem decent quality)

How is the Waterstones “exclusive” any different to the Blackwells? Am i missing something?

Waterstones acquired Blackwells last year

There are two different exclusive editions: One for 85 Pounds, cloth cover, slipcase, foil on the boards, and with a poster, all of which seem to be exclusive to this edition. Waterstones and Blackwells both have this edition. Waterstones also has another exclusive edition for 20 Pounds, which has the regular dustjacket that the other one doesn't, plus a foiled board design that's different from the other one's. Both list exclusive doodles from Terry and end papers.

And I need to apologise: In my post above I managed to insert the same link twice instead of two different ones. I've corrected that by now.

Thanks for the heads-up, purchased the special edition.

My (to be honest, completely forgotten I'd ordered it) copy arrived yesterday. It's very nice, although I think Folio would probably offer much nicer paper at this price point.

I liked Terry's doodles and Neil Gaiman's touching introduction about his old and sometimes difficult friend (we can all sympathise there, I think) and the first story is very amusing. I look forward to the others.

:-)

>16 Cat_of_Ulthar: I agree too. I think the edition itself is overpriced and FS would have definitely done a better job for the price point.

>17 venkysuniverse: Yes, much as I wished to purchase the slipcased edition I simply cannot justify £85 for such a slim volume with a glued spine. That's a Murakami for pity's sake!
